Our story

Once upon a time, our two little characters River and Tom came to life. River and Tom are two special people who come from the city but crave to discover the wild world around them. With the help of their magical bike Rusty, they travel the world and help Nature Heroes on their mission to make the world a nicer place to live. Both have secret talents; River can talk to animals whilst Tom knows EVERYTHING there is to know about nature. He is a real encyclopedia of the natural world, helpful when you find yourself in a tricky nature situation!​​

The Secret Protectors Club started in 2021 with a successful kickstarter campaign. We are parents, we know how important connecting with our children is and how hard it can be to get them out and engaged in nature. Our mission has been from the start to connect children with the natural world, may it be on their doorstep or in a far away country.​

As River and Tom started to send children letters of their adventures and discoveries, they wanted to give the child their own missions to do, so that they could help protect all the trees, animals and insects out there in the natural world, and the kids loved it! In no time, other children and their parents were asking for letters from River and Tom and the Secret Protectors Club was born!​​​ Lots of parents have told us how River and Tom's letters and missions have inspired the entire family to spend more time in nature. It has brought calmness, creativity and self assurance into their children's (and their own) lives. What else could a parent wish for?
